Dear Teachers,
Please comment on a concept learned (or relearned) today during your SMART Strategies session. If each of you shares one idea, you'll then have a total of 46 ideas located in one space - how valuable! Comment as soon as possible so that ideas are shared while the learning is fresh!

I had a great day today and am looking forward to being in your classrooms this month!

Thank you for your Smart lessons today. I was most excited to learn how to "capture" pages from our Math text and not lose ALL of the work that was written on the page when you try to scroll. Also, I LOVE the note reveal page. It will be great for SS discussions! Thanks for hands-on learning...it really helps me to remember what I've learned in the meeting!

I really enjoyed the 'activities' tab in the gallery. It provides FUN ways to teach things. I'm excited about the VORTEX (I'm thinking... odd/even, true/false, fact/fiction... the list goes on).

I also LOVE the multiple choice activity. That is a fun interactive way to review things.

I like the idea that I can use the activites as student lead centers. They can do them on their own since there is a self checking device already in place!!
THANKS FOR SHARING MRS. BRIOTTA! YOU ROCK!!!

Everytime I have an opportunity to experiment with the Smartboard, I feel a little bit more confident and see more and more how I could use it for some of my lessons in the Media Center. I especially enjoyed the crossword puzzle activity and see how I can use it in my classes. I think it is a great idea for you to spend some individual time with each teacher. I'm looking forward to that, too!

Thanks again for being our techie cheerleader. Learning how to use Smart 10 was the best part of my work day today. I especially loved learning how to use the capture feature. Yvonne also showed me how to insert something from a scanner directly into Smart Notebook saving lots of time and steps. I scanned in several reading overhead transparencies in no time. I also used the activities tab to create a vocabulary review for this week's reading vocabulary. Fast and easy! I am very excited to use everything!

I love the camera feature - I plan on implementing this into many math lessons using the pearson success website to access student pages, and capturing them onto my smart board!

Thanks Christine, Katie, Laurie, Gloria, and Brenda! I'm excited that the time we spent together has already got you motivated to utilize some of the tools in SMART 10 with your students. The favorite part of my job is spending time with you and showing you new tools that can enhance your teaching. The energy in the room yesterday was electric! I loved the impromtu questions and the cheers when it was discovered that some of these tools will make your presentations more powerful!
I'm thinking of when we captured the magnified piece of text and then was able to ink on it. And the moment when it was learned that the table can be moved, and has unlimited columns and rows :-)

I'm really looking forward to this month! I'm sure we'll learn a lot from eachother!

I enjoyed getting some more hands-on experience with version 10. I haven't spent a lot of time "building" lessons in version 10, as most things I have done were with previous versions. I particularly enjoyed exploring the gallery gave me some good ideas for various classes in the Computer Lab. This "refresher" also will help me help others...

I really enjoyed the lesson! It was my first time really even looking at the Smart technology. I think I could handle it a little!
I liked the activity tool kit- gallery! I found a way to make crossword puzzels.
The camera capture was also great to learn!

I thought the class was wonderful. It showed me several ways to use the Smart board that I did not know about. I liked the time line activies. I can think of at least three stories that we read during the year were the students can use the time line to track the events of the persons life in the story. It is a great way for them to organize the information they are reading.

I loved learning the tool bar...especially the capture tool and magic pen. I have already used the capture for math so that I don't loose everything when I scroll down. I also will use the note reveal. I am still exploring the gallery...Love it!!!!!

Thank you so much for the time to get together and share. We need more of that!

Girls,
I had such a great time with all of you! I felt like today was very successful! I am way more comfortable with the camera feature and I was able to use it twice yesterday during my lesson. I am also excited about the games we found under the activities section. In second grade we have to do a lot of sorting things into two categories. I found two games that allow you to do that! Super Fun!!

This was most beneficial for me today. I really liked the "capture" feature and being able to use it with the math program. The activity tab in the gallery is awesome and can be very useful in all subject areas. Ann and I were able to use it and the capture feature to do a social lesson on the 13 colonies. Thanks Angie for your extra help

Today I build a review lesson for the characteristics of a good summary in the notes reveal activity. Super easy and fast!

I really enjoyed the SMART board lesson/time today :)

Because of this I am better at navigating the tool bar, and it's gallery.

I used the Smart board table "insert tab" to do a possessive pronoun review game.

I can't wait for you to come and help me with math.

Thank you for taking the time to review and go over new features that the Smart10 version has to offer. I was able to insert a bunch of images from other software and create a fun math game for our Pre-K. You can look at this lesson on the j: drive under shared Pre-K. Thanks again!

Thanks for the review, Angie.
I especially enjoyed the review of the camera. I plan to use it in the near future so that I do not lose it again.

I enjoyed the much needed review of the Smart Board "how-to's" during planning day. I have enjoyed using the SB in my classroom, but always feel that there is more to learn and therefore more that can be done with it. Looking forward to more!

Today I am using another site on perspective on the Smart Board.

I'll have to ask Angie how to hyperlink this site.

Lara taught me something that may help others. If your pen or eraser does not always function properly, try blowing out dust and fuzz from your pen tray. It helped to fix 3 SMARTboards.

Angie, your lesson(s) on Smart Board were very helpful with new info. and reminders to use things I had forgotten about. You are an AWESOME teacher!!
I used Lesson Toolkits, Activities, Interactive Multimedia, Timeline to put in dates for geaorge Washington Carver to use as I spoke about him in science on Jan. 6.

In the gallery I will use "Sentence Arrangement" to write the main points of the plot of a novel we are reading and then have students put the events in order.

Some of you may already know this but I learned that you can extend your graph to as many sections as you need. You just keep dragging your mouse down and down and down. Wahooooo! We use the smart board for graphing all the time and I was getting frustrated that only 8 children could like the red apple the best. Not any more! Thanks Angie for a fabulous session last Monday!

Alright everyone,
So today I used the Smartboard as a center. I used one of the games that we found in the gallery under activites. I had one group doing written work, one group reading with me, and the other group was on the floor playing a vocabulary game. It was very fun!!!
