Add Pizazz to Student Projects with Glogster

What is Glogster and why do I need it?

In simple terms, Glogster is an online tool used to create digital posters. Students can add photographs, graphics, audio, and video to present information in a modern way. When was the last time a piece of posterboard actually spoke to its viewers? Or played music to help explain a particular concept? Or used animated graphics to showcase an important point?

Glogster is safe for teachers and students since all information stored in the Glog account can be password protected or marked as private. Once the Glog is finished, it can be published online, embedded in a webpage, or viewed through Glogster.com Students and teachers can comment on student glogs to provide feedback.

Using Glogster is an easy and exciting way to integrate technology into student projects. Just last week, I spent 15 minutes introducing Glogster to a classroom of fifth graders. I provided them the basic skills necessary to get started. Within days, students had uploaded their own photos and videos. These digital natives are ready to break away from their All About Me Glogs and dive into more challenging curriculum. I can't wait to share their online posters with you here!
